Men should download Pose too

image

Am I crazy? Probably. Am I straight? Yes. Now, why do I say in the title “Men should download Pose too”? It’s because if you want to look good, a little advice won’t hurt.

Seriously.

We always say that nerds and geeks are “ugly” and don’t have style. I say, it’s because we’d rather save our money for the next Nvidia product, upcoming Intel processor or Assassin’s Creed III. However, it’s also for that reason why we wear old clothes. Clothes that are comfortable and doesn’t look good for some.

This is also why we get “friendzoned” because we’re the “nice” guy and most of the time doesn’t have a sense of fashion… WRONG!

I’ve met nerds and geeks who are even worse in terms of attitude. So that only leaves us that we really either don’t look good or we lack social skills. Now, if you already don’t look physically attractive, it’s always a good thing that at least try to look good.

And Pose can help us choose the good looking outfits and maybe even comfortable.

Still sulking because the girl you like doesn’t like you? Well try to improve… and if it takes too long to improve social skills and other skills, at least choosing clothes will be faster with a little help from this app called Pose.

Path: Growing in Asia. But not so much in the Philippines?

image

Path is a great app. It looks beautiful and the UI is very streamlined. The app is available for iOS and Android phones.

I’ve seen a lot of friends who are registered users of the service but despite their number, there’s only 2 individual who are actively using them among my friends.

It has been reported by various tech blogs that the service is growing in Asia. But why is it that after registration, people don’t use it regularly? It’s because of Facebook.

There are 100 Million users by now in Google+ but only a few are active. It’s also because of Facebook.

Why Facebook?

Because beauty and innovation right now is useless for another social app or service if your friends are staying somewhere else.

Google+ is striving because it’s useful for those who wants to grow their network. It’s not just for your friends alone. But what about Path?

Personally, I love how easy you can post anything in Path. But it feels empty because when we “share” we want friends whom we can share something with. If there’s no one in a “social” app, then the motivation to share diminish.

Do you use Path? What do you think of the app? What do you think of this service?

Android not getting iOS apps – Android users return to iPhone

If there’s one sure thing to make a former iPhone user return to iPhone again, it is through the apps that becomes available to the OS.

It really doesn’t matter now who has the most apps in a market. It’s the few great apps that encourages and motivates consumers to keep using an OS. Right now, iOS is winning the app frontline.

Highlight, Pair, Instagram, and even the Mass Effect apps has remained exclusive to the app store. Although Instagram may have plans to launch an android app… android users are probably already used to the “alternatives”.

You may argue that some “alternatives” are better. However, a better product doesn’t always mean more interesting to use. Environment also affects the product. This is why Facebook is almost ubeatable now even if Google+ is a better product.

What do you think?

APN Settings for Smart, Sun and Globe Telecoms

You’re excited with your new mobile phone after applying for a new postpaid plan from either Sun, Smart or Globe. Then when you try to download apps or just post a facebook status from your gadget, nothing happened; you realize then that your APN (Access Point Name) for the phone is not yet set.

What to do?

iPhone 4 Unlocked Now Available – Could Come To the Philippines too

Apple is now selling through its stores the unlocked iPhone 4. What does it mean to Filipinos? Well, it means that you can now get an iPhone 4 someday that doesn’t require the 2-year contract from Globe.

Right now, only the GSM model of the iPhone 4 is available. But that’s okay if you’re planning to live in the Philippines. The 16GB version of the iPhone 4 is available for USD649$ roughly 27,907php if you convert directly to pesos and the 32GB is available for USD749$ or 32,307php. However, we all know that it would probably be more expensive than that.

I just hope that with this move, iPhone will one day become available to other carriers and the competition on selling the iPhone will one day come to our shores.
